Please include your device model, OS version, app version, and a short description of the problem. Unless we explicitly need them to debug, please do not send real customer information, real serial numbers, invoices, exported JSON backups, or maintenance passports.

Privacy

  • Cafe Gear Log is developed by Yi Wang.
  • The developer does not collect personal information from users.
  • The app does not require sign-up or login. It does not upload gear profiles, maintenance events, schedules, or backups to a developer-controlled server.
  • Any gear name, model, serial number, maintenance note, cost, person, and free-form text you enter is stored only as on-device app data.
  • The app does not include ads, analytics SDKs, account SDKs, cloud-sync SDKs, or third-party payment SDKs.
  • The Android build declares no INTERNET permission. The app cannot make network requests.
  • Export and share only happen when you tap the export or share action, and they go through the system share sheet, the system file picker, or a destination you choose.
  • You can delete any record in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all on-device data.
  • There is no remote backup, no server-side copy, and no "delete my account" flow, because there is no account and no server.

FAQ

Do I need an account?
No. Cafe Gear Log stores records locally on the device it is installed on.
Does the app sync to the cloud?
No. The current version is offline-first and local-only. If you want to move data between devices, use the in-app export and import.
Is the maintenance passport an official inspection, warranty, or certification document?
No. The maintenance passport is a user-generated history export. It is not an official inspection, warranty, certification, legal, appraisal, or service-provider document.
Can I share my maintenance records with a technician or a buyer?
Yes. The iOS build can export a maintenance passport. The Android build can export a JSON backup. Send them only when you need to, through the system share sheet, the system file picker, or a destination you choose.
How do I delete my data?
Delete records in the app, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling removes all on-device data for Cafe Gear Log.
Does the app contact the developer or any third party?
No. The Android build declares no INTERNET permission, so the app has no network capability at runtime. The iOS build is sandboxed in the same way.
